It's awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wanting to have Ring Doorbell for a while now, and I finally got it. This Ring Doorbell 3 plus was bundled with Echo Show 5. It was an awesome bundle price. And I love how these two work together! It's easy to use. Installation is basically very easy, just follow the step by step instructions provided. I'm not a very "sophisticated tech person" but I did fine with installing, downloading and connecting to other smart home products in my house. I love the features it has. For example you can customize the motion sensor. Everything is just as described on product description.

Excellent camera with very clear footage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install and definitely what I wanted. I hard wired mine to save battery life. It picks up very clear noise with a excellent picture. It doesn't miss anything that in my zones, the pre roll is alright just wish it was in color but it's not so I can deal with it. Overall I love my ring doorbell and my cam spotlight with the solar panel to keep my battery full always.

Works, but not great picture.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This doorbell requires a lower voltage and can be hardwired or battery operated. We chose hardwire. More advanced models required more voltage than our doorbell wiring already had. One complaint is the picture is blurred. Sensitivity goes off & captures brief snips whenever someone walks past on the sidewalk or any vehicle drives past. However, it does not show the person walking completely by. It shuts off after 2 seconds in front of the house. Not sure if this is something I can fix with settings. It is definitely better than nothing. For more features, you have to pay a monthly subscription service. You do have a choice of faceplates.

It’s ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Searched around to see if ring doorbell 3 installs like ring doorbell 1 and couldn’t find anything. It does NOT. The screw patterns are different and had to drill 3 more holes in my wall to replace my ring doorbell 1 with ring doorbell 3. The picture quality seems better. Hopefully connectivity is better. The “Venetian bronze“ plastic cover on the doorbell 3 looks cheap compared to the doorbell 1 Venetian bronze. If the connectivity is the same, I will return the doorbell 3. I only recommend if you don’t already have a smart doorbell and want 1. May even be better off saving money and getting a lower model. Picture left is doorbell 3 right is doorbell 1.

Easy install, excellent quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Install was flawless. It wasn't easy to mount in brick and mark but thst is no reason to blame the doorbell. So far the live iew has been great. I turned off notifications due to having high winds here qnd plants moving around. I know that can be adjusted. I liked this one so much, I boughtba 2nd one for another house.

Q: QuestionHi! I don’t have a doorbell installed I just want a battery operated doorbell! Interested in the 3+ can I still get that and I need one for the back door too!
Asked by Victoria.
- A:Answer Yes the 3 plus is battery operated or can be wired in. I’m using mine as battery operated because my wired was covered up when my new front door was installed. The battery should last about six months before being recharged and it will let you know when it is getting low your best bet is to buy a back up battery for $29 so you don’t have to wait for it to be recharged and can just swap them out because it takes a long time for the battery to be recharged.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this version and other versions of Ring?
Asked by Kim.
- A:Answer Hi, Our new video doorbell has all the great features of its predecessor, the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and then some. It can be powered by the removable, rechargeable battery, or hardwired via traditional doorbell wiring. RVD 3 is the first battery-powered device to come with dual-band WiFi, and features 1080P HD video with color night vision and two-way talk with echo cancellation. RVD 3 also includes two all-new features, Foresight, which enables users to capture complete motion events with their Ring RVD 3 and record 4 seconds before motion is triggered, and a newly added "Near Zone" for more relevant motion detection closer to your front door. If you have any additional questions, please visit us at ring.com/help or email us at [email protected]. Thank you, Ring Team

Q: QuestionBest Buy has a Ring Doorbell 3 Plus bundle with Echo Show 5. Can I use the Echo Show as the ringer or do I have to buy a separate wireless chime?
Asked by grommetik.
- A:Answer Yes you can use it as a chime. It not only announces or has preset rings that you can pick, when someone pushes the button, the screen automatically comes on to show you who’s there. Mine is set to say ‘Someone’s at the front door’. And if you have other Amazon devices, they will also ring or make an announcement in unison when the button is pushed.

Q: QuestionLooking to install at lake home with no internet access . Is it necessary to have the internet in the house? Thanks
Asked by Grandma2020.
- A:Answer To my knowledge, you must have wireless internet to hook it up.

Q: Questionhow long does it take to charge the battery?
Asked by Mimi.
- A:Answer Five to six hours if it’s dead in my experience. If you hard wire it to your old doorbell wires there will be no need to charge the battery after the initial full charge, it’ll just be there if you lose power as a backup.
