These plates look like rejects.

These plates are rejects. All the plates are wavy. The only reason I didn't return them is I took them out of the box to wash them and I threw the boxes away.

Great value

While this set is not a bright white, I would not characterize it as having "a gray cast." Clean, contemporary, and useful...no "saucers" or small coffee cups. Slight imperfections in many pieces, but not enough to be problematic...especially for the price.

A bowl arrived damaged.

I ordered this set for my niece who just begins her first year of college in another state. The box was delivered today, and she found one bowl damaged with the visible crack inside, which seems the inherent damage, (not due to some mistreatment during the delivery). I wonder how such a big damage went through the inspection? She has no Macy around her and cannot return it. Although she said dishes are beautiful; a broken bowl made me upset.

color not what you'd expect

The dishes have a greyish cast; not a warm white or bright white. A grey white. They look industrial. They did appear sturdy. BUt I was looking for something for an upscale ski place. Not the right item.
